Really enjoyed Christchurch, the hotel was nice to good cafes. Booked the property for its magnificent and lovely location very close to a beautiful beach, the waterfront and close to a great range of eateries. Local fast food option Red Snapper was 5 minutes walk away.

The location is marvelous, situated in a local area close to shops, cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, and excellent hiking opportunities. the hotel is within a close distance from Matuku Takotako.

The rooms were huge and extremely spacious. the rooms came with appliances and laundry facilities. - the surprise complimentary wine was a nice touch. - the staff was friendly and helpful. - the hotel had an excellent location, close to the beach and restaurants. - the hotel had a modern and upmarket feel. - the local fast food option, Cloud Cafe, was just a 5-minute walk away.

The staff are very very helpful and the room was modern with close to water. The location is marvellous and lovely, specially if you want to stay so close to a movie theater and bars...

Superb base for traveling to Christchurch and exploring local places. A wide array of goodies for breakfast. The rooms with wine and even full kitchen, as for instance. Helpful staff and attention to detail.

The room is super sunny with sliding doors that open onto a terrace area. It feels amazing to wake up to all that sunshine! The fully equipped kitchen is a game-changer for me. I love being able to cook my own meals and feel at home. The bathroom is so stylish, with under-floor heating and a large glass shower. It's like a spa experience every time I shower.

Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the heated lighting in the bathroom. It felt a bit too bright for my liking.

The location here is amazing, with shops, the beach, and a cinema right nearby, plus easy access to the Managers quarters.

Central location to beach, restaurants, shops, and cinema. Access to washing machine, dryer, and good internet.

This accommodation is conveniently located close to the city centre, cafes and shops. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom and good service from the friendly staff. Breakfast was provided and there were some nice facilities available.

There was one aspect of the accommodation that could have been improved.

The location of Sumner Re Treat was ideal, just a stone's throw away from the beach and shops. The apartment itself was spacious, modern, and well-decorated. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. I especially loved the spa bath where I could relax while enjoying a beach view under the stars. The kitchen was fully equipped and the tiles had heated flooring, adding a touch of luxury to my stay. I also appreciated the complimentary car parking and bikes that were available for use. The overall atmosphere was peaceful and private, making it a perfect getaway.

Although my overall experience was exceptional, I did encounter a minor inconvenience. The television in the lounge didn't work despite following the instructions carefully.

The apartment had a nice balcony, and the free internet access was a plus. Also, the hotel offered free pick up from the airport for longer stays.

Who needs a hotel with a flat-screen TV, laundry facilities, and secure parking? Definitely not me!

The decoration at the hotel was simply charming, with beautiful floral wallpapers and elegant vintage furniture. It gave the place a cozy and nostalgic feel that brought back memories of my younger days. The general areas were well-maintained, with comfortable seating and ample space for senior people to move around easily. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently situated in a quiet neighborhood, making it accessible for senior people like myself to explore the nearby shops and attractions.

The only thing I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to provide more assistance with carrying luggage. As we get older, it can be difficult to handle heavy bags, and having someone to help would make the experience even more enjoyable.

We absolutely loved our stay at this fabulous apartment. The value for money was outstanding and the room was top-notch in terms of quality. The location was great, with shops and a cinema within walking distance. The staff, especially Chris at reception, were warm, friendly, and very helpful.

If I had to point out one thing that could make breakfast better, it would be to have more variety in the breakfast choices.
